Thread: Dropout on one analogue channel

Re: Dropout on one analogue channel

    Hi Jim

Good news, our unit has failed too on "5 USA" on the fourth output.

I can see on the debug (RSDEDit Terminal) that the Frame Counter for the channel is stuck at 0,0 but for some reason the watchdog has not reset the unit.
I'd guess this is something to do with the channel and swithover as I think it's one of the channels that switches to a shopping channel.
Regardless of this though the watchdog should have reset the unit.

I've now loaded the unit with the latest firmware and put this on soak test again, will monitor over the next couple of days.

If you also want to try the latest firmware I've attached it here.
This should only be used for the "fat" version of the Multiview with tuners that have standard coax connectors for RF IN/OUT on the rear.

    Still running Jim.

One reset on 30th @ 5am but has not reset since and is still running.

    Hi CMS_ADMIN

Only just spotted your posts with the new firmware. Ive just loaded this into the box and reinstated the settings. Will leave it running and see how it goes. Thanks for providing the update glad your box was able to reproduce the same effect.
Any idea what might have caused that one further reset on the 5th May?

    Jim.

    Hi CMS_ADMIN,

Updated firmware on "thick" Multiview unit appears to be working perfectly - ran overnight and still showing all 5 programmes this morning. I'll keep it going just to be sure.

    Jim.

Yes, video locked on the fourth output so exactly the problem you were finding.
