UK Freeview Guide Change on 07/01/13 Causing Random Box Resets if "Live EPG Enabled"

NOTE: Only affects boxes that are tuned to PSB2 (ITV1, CH4, CH5 etc.)

On 07/01/2013 a change was made to the Freeview EPG signals on the PSB2 Multiplex.

Any boxes that are set to "Teletext Mode" = "Live EPG" from this multiplex will do random resets.

    INTERIM SOLUTION (Disable Live EPG)
We would recommend doing a Factory Reset, then re-scanning, selecting the appropriate channels to be output and setting the "Teletext Mode" to "Live Teletext" on each units output.

Alternatively to change the mode to "Live Teletext" carry out the following or consult the User Manual.
    1. Press MENU and scroll down to "Setup" and press ENTER.
    2. Scroll down to "Teletext Mode" & change this to "Live Teletext" using left/right keys.
    3. Scroll up to "Unit Number" and scroll right to Unit 2 and change this to "Live Teletext"
    4. Repeat function for each units output.
    5. When complete press MENU to exit and Multiview will re-start.

    FINAL SOLUTION

The EPG changes are currently being investigated by our software team.
A revised firmware version will be released shortly and will be available for download from these forums.

    UPDATE

A software fix has been implemented and the new firmware version is currently being regression/soak tested.
Subject to satisfactory completion of tests the new firmware will be released later this week.

Please consult the Download section for details of what is required to update the firmware.

The new firmware is only available for the latest "slim" version (Hardware ID G & H) of the Multiview with an orange LED on the front panel.

For the older "fatter" version (Hardware ID up to F) with a green LED on the front panel please use the solution in the previous post.
